Liat Solomon
Founder & Head Chef

Liat Solomon is a trained macrobiotic chef and counsellor, having trained under direct tutelage of master Michio Kushi. She opened her first restaurant at the age of 19 and has delved into the kitchens of hundreds of ill and suffering individuals, produced a series of cooking classes, led group detox retreats, macrobiotic conferences, Buddhist conventions, diet cruises and worked with numerous world famous people who are on the path of healing with whole foods.

Liat is also the owner and founder of Down to Earth Bali, which produces numerous organic vegan foods and food products that are offered all over Bali. Established in 2015, she is also the creator of the Bali Vegan Festival; an annual event held in Ubud, Bali.

Our Food


We showcase progressive plant-based cuisine that is vegan, cruelty-free and mostly raw. Our menu offers a selection of cuisines; from middle eastern, to Italian and Japanese with a focus on taste, quality and style. Into our dishes go only the most flavourful, nutrient-packed ingredients grown by environmentally conscious farmers, both locally and when necessary imported from abroad. We are extremely picky about where our food has come from, and we travel extensively to source from organic and sustainable suppliers wherever possible.

We promise to never use preservatives, artificial flavor enhancers or MSG. We prepare our food according to the strictest European hygiene standards, using stainless steel cookware and washing our ingredients in pure spring water. We cater to most food intolerances including Coeliac Disease, gluten sensitivity and yeast intolerance.Ask our knowledgeable staff for more information.
